Our History
Scott Matthews founded Digitech Systems in July 1997 in Lincoln, Nebraska. His goal was to develop and market document imaging and retrieval software that would revolutionize the industry. At that time, document management systems were complex, built with proprietary technologies, and prohibitively expensive. Scott knew, “It didn’t have to be so hard, and it didn’t have to cost so much.” So, he set out to prove it!
Over time, Digitech Systems has remained true to Scott’s philosophy. We’re still building innovative products that offer affordable information management to organizations of any size. We led the world into cloud-based Enterprise Content Management with ImageSilo® in 1999, and brought AI-based text recognition to our customers with PaperVision® Forms MagicTM in 2015. In 2024, Digitech Systems launched the world’s first microservices-based information management platform, Sys.tm®, which enables companies to securely manage their business records, automate tasks and processes, and bring generative AI tools to the fingertips of all their employees—revolutionizing daily work for thousands of individuals.
