How Can Your Institution Regain Control Of Information?

In the world of higher education, it is common for many institutions to have multiple campuses in multiple locations. Having many campuses allows institutions to accept more students, which results in increased revenue, but also means they are responsible for managing and maintaining student data at every location. Managing student information manually across multiple campuses can be a difficult task that can leave sensitive student data vulnerable to security threats.

San Diego Christian College is considered one of the top Christian colleges in Southern California. Staff throughout the entire institution prides itself on providing students a top-notch education. What was not so top-notch was the manual processes used by administrative staff to manage and maintain student records. Communicating between campuses across multiple locations was a time-consuming and error-prone task. Staff would have to physically retrieve and mail the records, which would sometime take days to arrive, leading to hours of productivity loss, which was frustrating to both staff and students. They knew there had to be an easier way to share information and went looking for a solution.

Administration staff worked with Imagetek, a Digitech Systems reseller to implement PaperVision® Capture to scan student records and ImageSilo®, a cloud-based document management system, to securely store and manage their data. This has drastically reduced document retrieval times, reduced loss, and has saved them hundreds of dollars in productivity.

“With ImageSilo and PaperVision Capture, we can now track our student records and keep them altogether from the admissions process all the way until they become alumni. Knowing records are securely stored in the cloud has alleviated our record loss concerns.”
