Exporting directly from PaperFlow to PaperVision® Enterprise and ImageSilo®

By Kyle Marks

Have you ever wished you could export directly from PaperFlow? Well, you can now! PaperFlow R81 added a new feature that allows you to export files directly to PaperVision Enterprise or ImageSilo. This means no more configuring data group exports, managing output directories or making sure your monitored import paths are configured correctly. This new feature is easy to use and will save you time!

How do I get started?

Connect to PaperVision Enterprise or ImageSilo

1.     Open the PaperFlow batch to be exported, and go to the Auto Process tab.

2.     Uncheck Process FTP, and click Wizard.

3.     Highlight the ImageSilo/PVE Direct Export option, and click OK.

4.     Enter your ImageSilo/PVE Connection or connect to a local installation of PaperVision Enterprise by entering Entity ID, Host Address, Username, and Password, and click OK.

Configure the Export

1.     Once your connection settings have been verified, the ImageSilo/PVE Direct Configuration window will be displayed.

2.     Under the General tab, select the Project from the drop-down menu.

3.     Select the Indexes tab to map index fields. Note: at least one index field must be mapped for the export to run.

4.     Select the OCR tab, and configure the OCR options.

5.     On the Options tab, select any other applicable options, and click OK to begin the export.

When the export finishes, you will be able to find the documents you exported in the PaperVision Enterprise or ImageSilo project you selected. Simply search for documents using the index fields and values that you defined. It’s that easy! This is a great option for users who just want to upload documents without having to configure and setup a traditional data group.
